My name is Ellie and I am going to be your partner on this journey into the world of online business.
MY STORY
You may be wondering, how did you end up here?
There is more than one answer to this.
Growing up I always thought that I was someone who was going to go to university, get a degree and have a corporate career. When I discovered that the university learning environment wasn’t for me I was lost.
Between the first and second years of university, I took my first overseas holiday which ignited a new passion that continues to this day. That lead to me saving up and spending 2 years in England on a working holiday.
What I didn’t anticipate was the struggle to find work when I returned home. I spent a long time trying to find jobs but struggled to find anyone who would give me a chance. As is the vicious cycle, the longer you are unemployed the less and less likely someone is to give you the benefit of the doubt and a start in life.
While I did eventually find a job, it took a long time, and was essentially forced into taking a position that was not something I would have chosen for myself. I did make it several years in the position before I hit another roadblock.
Anxiety.
A combination of a job that I never enjoyed combined with an ever increasingly stressful working environment and lack of support from my employer meant that for my own health, I had no choice but to walk away.
Fast forward almost 2 years and I was back on the same treadmill trying to find a decent job with a resume full of time gaps. Again I struggled to fine anyone who would give me a chance.
So I finally decided that enough was enough and I was no longer going to leave my life in the hands of others. I was going to take control and be the master of my own destiny.
Which brings us to today…
THE GOAL OF MY SITE
In the simplest of terms, my goal is to help.
Through this website, I would like to assist people like me to take charge of their own lives and work toward becoming entrepreneurs by building an online business.
